People say days of slavery are gone, there are no slaves in the modern world, reality says otherwise.

In many countries including India slaves exist, very much, they are called by another name, bonded labours. These people are of course members of the never ending fraternity called poor class; they take loan from rich people and promise that they will repay that loan by working in their fields or other places.

That loan like hell’s maw never gets paid, it keeps increasing by one mean or another and these people end up as slaves’ generation after generation. They are treated like slaves too, often kept under lock and key so that they won’t run away.

What does the government does to liberate these people? Looks the other way!

  1. There are slaves in many countries these days, and unfortunately the people using them pay off the people who could change things. Hopefully people will get serious about standing up for those who can’t fight for themselves. Thanks for drawing attention to problems like these. Nothing will change until people know the truth.

    1. thats the idea, i have suffered greatly because of my own innocence, so i have decided to speak atleast once a week for those who cant speak for themselves. the least bit i can do to spread the knowledge.

  2. Again, something that’s not going to change easily.
However,if each of us start being more watchful and stand up against such wrongs, who knows what tomorrow holds!

  3. Slavery is another thing that has been misunderstood for ages. In the Declaration of Independence, the founding fathers wrote “All men were created equal.” At the same time, they had slaves themselves. If one race or class of people represents themselves in such a way, then they are likely to be manipulated. For example, certain Africans in America represent themselves as “ghetto” and “poor.” This means they come across as that, and are treated lower. I personally feel as though slavery is not the correct term, but more of corruption, madness, and butlers or servants.

  4. I view slavery as being in material gains as in material gains that one that believes they are possessing something in actuality it is possessing them instead… 🙂
