Thursday Blog 18.4.13

After the tasteless posts of last month, this month I want to just breathe a bit, by being a bit wicked. Don’t take them personally; nothing is applicable to everyone in this world. World is blending of different type of persons- good and bad.

Dear diary,

This year we were afraid that it will be another year in oven like last year, when summer started in February and dragged till of course August. Last year was so hot that it seemed that if it gets hotter people will simply die because of that heat.

I live on ground floor that was burning like an oven; I wondered about the condition of those who live on upper floors; especially on top floors of buildings!

Is it nature, taking a turn or is it because of brazen filling up of water bodies, chopping down trees, wiping out greenery from the face of Kolkata? After all, these things were natural part of this area; this massive destruction is bound to create havoc on climate, or at least substantial harm, right? May be nature got confused and started to think that we want desert, and so she is turning this green state into one?

Faithfully yours,
A really wicked soul

  1. hey Sharmistha, that’s new and novel. keep innovating like this. I would love to visit Kolkatta sum day.

  2. only a generation ago there were no (mostly) fans (only hand rotated ones made of palm leaves) (what to speak of aircons!), yet we had not much complain because there were trees all around and lots and lots of birds. Now I hear not many birds either. Over here in NZ they have developed sensibly, all the greenery is intact and birds abound. In India we have to think and think about the trees. birds will follow.
I laughed when you said tasteless posts. no, they are all fine. keep on churning. I like your zeal and simplicity.

I LOVE TO READ AND RETURN COMMENTS. SOME OF MY READERS DONT LEAVE URL, IF THEY START LEAVING URL I WILL JUST LOVE TO READ THEIR WORKS TOO.
