How are we harming the ocean every day? well for starters:

Our activities on land and ocean have made critical impact on the quality and renewability of marine and coastal eco system.

Large scale burning of fossil fuels is causing the ocean to become warmer and more acidic. the average se surface temperature has increased by 0.4 degree centigrade since 1950- just imagine our destructive capacity! Its just formal to say that its a threat to marine ecosystems, coral bleaching is a symptom of that. Since 1880 the sea level has risen a whopping 22 cm in average!!

Dam construction and diversion of the flow of rivers have intercepted the transport of much needed fresh water, sediments and nutrients to the coasts, leading to disequilibrium in the eco systems. Coastal urbanization has squeezed sandy beaches and marsh lands. Toxic pollutants and non biodegradable wastes such as plastic disposal adversely affect…
