Quite a lot Indians bemoan the way Indian society has become corrupted over the years, if one notices one will see that the seed of that corruption has spread its branches all over the society like the roots of a banyan tree spreads in the walls of a careless home-owners home to bring it down.

Indians sympathize with criminals, prostitutes – people who very often join the band for easy money. They shun whistle blowers and allow them to be harassed by criminals and sex traffickers.

They don’t feel any sympathy for their maids or other poor men and women working hard to earn their bread without taking short cuts; cheer, sympathize their rich heroes and heroines even if they are caught evading tax.

They don’t lend a helping hand to victims of criminal activities, in place of that they shun them fearing reprisal of the criminals, often they join the criminals to harass their victims knowing very well that they are innocent to settle old scores.

Why will a whistle blower get killed or die in a society that cares or is honest?

Why will a girl return to the brothel after running away from there once? Because after returning back to her old home she will realize that it was always the hunting ground of ghouls, and the people who were supposed to help her, protect her are treating her like a pariah, too afraid of a bunch of ghouls to give them a thrashing of their lives, banishing them from their surroundings they are banishing her!

Why will not crime thrive in this society?

So if you really want to change the society better in place of placing your sympathy and support on hookers, criminals place them on honest, hardworking people. They need it, whereas hookers or criminals thrive in this country, they run this country so they don’t really need your sympathy or give a hoot to your support! Wake up and try to save the country, restore its values before it goes to hell.

  1. These are the signs of a society rotting from within. Corruption eats up everything. Good people are the victims and I don’t really know if things can be turned around quickly. But a start can be made by someone like you to bring out these issues. Bravo Sharmishtha , you are doing a great service for the innocent of your society. Great post. Thanks for sharing.
