melodies from moonlit nights

Tiny hands too busy gathering
sand, pebbles and sea shells
building her castle of sand
trying to make it a masterpiece.

Naïve child never knew
her dream palace is just a leap away
from the roaring waves of ocean
vulnerable, fragile, ready to be swept away.

  1. Life is fragile and the (naive) child has not experienced this fragility and it lives in the hope that all will be fine and the sand castle exists in its full glory for only minutes … seconds?
